Kathmandu Valley / Nagarkot - 3 Days

Day 01: Arrival and hotel transfer.

Day 02: Morning (8 a.m.)
Visit Patan Palace Square: main places for visit are old Royal Palace; Krishna Temple, one of the masterpieces of stone art of the ages; the 12th century Hiranyavarna Mahabihar, a still active Buddist monastery. Proceed to Tibetan Refugee Camp to observe handicrafts. Continue tour to Pashupatinath, the famous Shiva shrine with a crematorium on the bank of the Bagmati River; and Boudhanath, one of the most fascinating specimens of stupa design, surrounded by hundreds of Tibetan Buddhist monasteries.

Afternoon (2 p.m.) Proceed to Swayambhunath ( over 2,000 years old stupa) - the most profound expression of Buddhist symbolism in Nepal. Continue tour to Kathmandu Palace Square: main places of visit are nine - storey Basantapur Tower made of wood carving; artistically rich Taleju Temple; Kasthamandap, built in the 12th century from the wood of a single tree; and Kumarichwok, abode of living goddess, Kumari. Proceed to Nagarkot located to 32 km. east of Kathmandu at a height of 2,195 m. above sea level. It is a scenic spot renowned for sunrise/sunset views as well as the panoramic views of the yellowish glittering Himalayan range.

Day 03: Morning (dawn)
View sunrising and shedding light on the Himalayan peaks one after another as the sun emerges. After breakfast, leave Nagarkot for sightseeing in Bhaktapur city. Visit Bhaktapur Palace Square: places for visit are Golden Gate - the richly moulded specimen of this kind; the Palace of Fifty Five Windows - a unique masterpiece of wood carving; and Nyatapola Temple - the tallest pagoda temple in Nepal with its massive structure & subtle workmanship. Proceed to airport for return flight.
