Kathmandu Valley / Nagarkot / Pokhara - 7 Days Day 01: Arrival and hotel transfer Day 02: Morning (9 a.m.) Visit Pashupatinath, the great Shiva shrine with a crematorium on the bank of the Bagmati River. Proceed to Boudhanath - one of the biggest stupas in the world, surrounded by hundreds of Tibetan Buddhist monasteries. Afternoon (2 p.m.)Tour to Bhaktapur, the city of devotees and a museum of medieval art and architecture. Visit Palace Square: main places for visit are the Palace of Fifty Five Windows, a unique masterpiece of wood carving; and Nyatapola Temple - the tallest pagoda temple in Nepal. Proceed then to Nagarkot for an overnight stay, which is located to 32 km. east of Kathmandu at a height of 2,195 m. above sea level. It is a scenic spot renowned for sunrise/sunset views as well as panoramic views of Himalayan range including Mt. Everest. Day
03: Morning (dawn) View sunrising and shedding light on the Himalayan
peaks one after another as the sun emerges. After breakfast, proceed to
Patan, the city of Buddhist monuments. Visit old Royal Palace; Krishna
Temple, one of the masterpieces of stone art; the 12th century Hiranyavarna
Mahabihar, a still active Buddhist monastery; and Tibetan Refugee Camp. Day 04: Morning (7 a.m.) Journey to Pokhara by land transportation (approx. 6 hrs.), enjoying a great diversity of scenarios. As an optional program, the group may go for whitewater rafting on Trisuli River on the way. Day 05: Morning (8 a.m.) Take boat ride on Phewa Lake where the Annapurnas and Machhapuchhre (Fishtail Mountain) are seen mirrored into the water. Afternoon (2. p.m.) Visit Pokhara Bazaar; Bindevasini Temple; and the sites of geological interest like Seti River Gorge and Devi's Fall. Day 06: Morning Fly back to Kathmandu. Afternoon Open for shopping. Day 07: Optional tour for one-hour mountain flight over Himalayan range including Mt. Everest (8,848 m.); return to hotel; and proceed to airport for return flight. For
